Scholarships-

The UdeM exemption scholarship program is designed to support international candidates in their university studies. Starting in the fall of 2020, they could benefit from an exemption from the tuition fees normally charged to international students.

ELIGIBILITY

The University of Montreal offers French-taught undergraduate programmes in their entirety. As all courses are taught in French at the University of Montreal, proficiency in the language is a requirement for entrance to the undergraduate programmes. VISA

  • International students who wish to study in Quebec must meet certain requirements of the Government of Quebec and the Government of Canada. Once admitted to UdeM, international students must first obtain a Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) as well as a study permit and, in some cases, a visitor visa from the Government of Canada.
  • To obtain these documents, contact the Quebec authorities and the Canadian diplomatic mission for your territory of residence after you receive the official letter of admission from UdeM. You must prove that you have been admitted as a full-time student to UdeM and that you have sufficient financial resources.
  • To obtain a Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) for studies, you must also submit an application for temporary selection for studies online.
  • You must submit the required documents for your application for temporary selection for studies:
  • A photocopy of the identity pages of your passport;  
  • A letter of admission from your educational institution in Québec;
  • Your proof of financial capacity.
  • You need these documents to apply for a study permit:
  • proof of acceptance
