OVERVIEW
An upcoming young, research-intensive, and technologically advanced university- the Nanyang Technological University or NTU has been deemed as 1st among the world’s best young universities for five consecutive years (QS university rankings). With a foundation based on science and technology, the vision of NTU is to nurture future leaders and advance social impact through interdisciplinary research and education.
Ranked 19th in the QS World University Rankings, NTU has proven time and again that it believes in excellence and achievements of the highest order. As part of its Smart Campus goal, NTU, which was named the top institution in the world for citations in artificial intelligence for the years 2012 to 2016 (Nikkei and Elsevier 2017), is adopting digital technology for improved living and learning. It has collaborations with some of the biggest names in technology, including Alibaba, Rolls-Royce, BMW, Volvo, Delta Electronics, and Singtel, in a variety of fields with significant societal implications, such as clean energy, individualized medicine, robotics, smart transportation, and data science.
Situated at 50 Nanyang Ave, Singapore, the NTU campus has also been deemed a frequent lister in the Top 15 most beautiful university campuses of the world. There are more than 230 structures there that are part of 57 Green Mark-certified (or LEED-certified) building projects, of which 95% have earned the Green Mark Platinum certification. NTU has another campus in Singapore’s health neighbourhood Novena.
CLASS PROFILE
- According to the QS World Rankings, there are approximately 20k students enrolled in the UG offered at NTU of which the international community made up 3k enrollments. According to official statistics from the university, in the academic year 2022-23, the engineering college witnessed the maximum participation in undergraduate studies- reaching more than 11k enrollments. This was followed by the College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences with more than 4k enrollments and Nanyang Business School with 4k applicants. NIE saw the least amount of enrollments. Full-time degrees in 2022 had about 23,876 total enrollments. The male-to-female ratios varied across various degrees, with most discrepancies seen in Computer science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, English Literature and Art History, Linguistics and Multilingual Studies, Mechanical engineering, Physics and Applied Physics, and Sociology.
- For the accepted full-time programme of 2023, the fees for international students for the 1st and 2nd semesters are as follows:
- Accountancy Business Accountancy & Business Business & Computing Business & Computer Engineering- 20,400 SGD or 12,50,470.67 INR ( for subsidised students) and 39,750 SGD or 24,36,578.89 INR for non-subsidised students.
- Medicine- 77,600 SGD (47,56,692.37 INR)
- Renaissance Engineering Programme- 38,750 SGD (23,75,281.31 INR)
- Other Courses- 17,800 SGD (10,91,096.96 INR) for subsidized students. For unsubsidized students, the fees depend on if the work is lab-based or not.

Numerous top-notch academic programs are offered by NTU Singapore. Due to the high level of competition, the possibilities of admission vary based on the programs and alter every year; as a result, the acceptance rate ranges from 25 to 35%.
You must have completed at least 12 years of general education or will be taking High School national examinations in the year of application in order to be considered for admission.
